Week Twenty: January 15th-21st

Dinner with the Grubbs!  We always love getting together with the Grubbs when they are in town...wish we had room for them to stay with us!
Micah started piano lessons!  We decided to join a charter school, iLEAD charter, so that we could add a few activities, including Micah starting piano!  Thankfully, we don't have to go far, as Justin, our piano teacher, lives right behind us.

For presentation this week Micah did an excellent presentation on Great Papa Bob. The presentation was on "a hero." We also studied the conduction of warmth through different surfaces.

At home we built a telescope with our science kit, unfortunately, it didn't work.
The kids also did an activity melting crayons....I honestly can't remember what this was for!  We also watched the inauguration of our 45th president, Donald Trump.

And we had a MASSIVE rain storm, it was amazing!
Micah had a major break through in reading this week, yay progress!

Jeremiah started basketball games.  He's enjoying getting to learn new skills and practicing what he already knows.

Week Nineteen: January 8th-14th

Enjoying special times in Sunday school. Mrs. Martelle and Joey....Brett and Jeremiah.

Cotillion! And then a child who was not interested in doing his school work...

Special trip to Knott's with the Mort family.  It had just rained, so the park was basically empty!  Such a treat compared to Disneyland, and so much fun.
Woodstock's Air Mail is one of Joey's favorite rides.

Book club! So much fun seeing these boys enjoy reading books and spending time together.
On Saturday we celebrated both Christmas and Papa's birthday with the
Thompson side of the family.
